MASSIVE DIGITAL SHRINE TO KATIE MELUA

ROTIt’s rather ironic that a client’s Project Manager was using a third of his company’s storage for an impressive but illegally stored digital shrine to his idol.

In many ways the care and attention given to neatly organising and naming every file shows great Information Governance acumen, except that his exquisite collection of bootleg recordings, rare interviews and TV appearances is in breach of copyright and is being backed up daily by IT, using expensive SAN storage.

This is a clear example or ROT (Redundant, Obsolete and Trivial), so the simple recommendation from our Information Audit is “take it home”.
